DofE

Farringtons offer all three levels of the prestigous Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme.

Depending on age, participants are able to commence at any level - Bronze, Silver or Gold - although most prefer to begin with Bronze and work upwards, developing relationships, skills and resilience to take on ever greater challenges.  Working through each level also demonstrates the ability to persevere and apply oneself - both skills valued by employers and universities alike.

The tables below show the minimum timescales for each level and section - candidates must be able to demonstrate regular activity and commitment during this time, averaging at least one hour a week. It is not possible to achieve an Award in a short burst of enthusiasm over one weekend!
