A Typical Day

To get a feel of a typical day for a boarder, below are example itineraries for a weekday, Saturday and Sunday. Naturally there is some flexibility from day to day but these examples give a good insight into what to expect.

Weekday
 

7.00 am

Wake up and dress ready for school

7.30am

Leave for breakfast served in the School dining room

8.00am

Return to Boarding House to make beds and prepare for school

8.20am

Leave for school

8.30am - 3.50pm

Time to attend school and a chance to catch up with friends who are Day pupils

4.00 - 5.00pm

Extracurricular activities, including sports team practices and matches, clubs or supervised prep

5.00 - 5.15pm Tea in the dining room
5.15 - 6.15pm Supervised prep

6.15pm

Supper in the School dining room

6.30 - 7.00pm

Free time

7.00 - 8.00pm

Prep or evening social activities

8.00pm

Showers and hot drinks

9.45pm

Bedtime for Years 7 and 8

10.00pm

Bedtime for Years 9 and 10

10.30pm

Bedtime for Years 11 to 13

Saturday 

9.00am

Wake up and dress in casual clothes

9.30am

Breakfast

9.30am onwards

Saturdays are busy days. There are trips arranged every weekend to visit places of cultural interest, to go shopping, see a film or other fun activities such as bowling and ice skating

12.30pm

Lunch is served in the School dining room for boarders who are in School

1.00pm

Trips and activities often continue into the afternoon

7.00pm

Supper is served in the School dining room

7.30pm onwards

Free time. Boarders often watch a DVD or play games

10.00pm

Bedtime for Years 7 and 8

10.30pm

Bedtime for Years 9 and 10

11.00pm Bedtime for Years 11 to 13
