Mr Brendan O'Keeffe

Announcement of the new Head of the Prep School for September 2025

Following a thorough and rigorous recruitment process, I am delighted to announce that Mr Brendan O’Keeffe has been appointed as the new Head of Farringtons Prep School with effect from 1st September 2025. In a highly competitive field of applicants, Mr O’Keeffe’s experience in pastoral and academic leadership particularly impressed, as did his passion for providing pupils with a truly holistic education, his ability to think strategically and his vision for the Prep School.

Mr O’Keeffe’s Background and Experience

Mr O’Keeffe is currently Deputy Head at Eaton House, Belgravia, where he has also served as Interim Head. In addition to this, he is the Director of Digital Strategy for the Eaton House Schools group. Prior to that Mr O’Keeffe was a Form Tutor as well as Head of Computing and Head of Citizenship at Fulham Prep School.

Commenting on his appointment Mr O’Keeffe said: “It is a real privilege to be joining the Farringtons family in September. From my first visits, I have been struck by the school’s welcoming atmosphere, its high standards, and the genuine warmth shown by both staff and pupils. This is a special place, where I believe that anybody can be somebody. I look forward to spending more time with the whole school community, especially the pupils, and to working closely with Mr Boyjoonauth and Mr Jackson over the coming months as we prepare for this exciting new chapter.”

Transition and Introduction to the School Community

Over the course of the Summer Term, Mr O’Keeffe will be visiting Farringtons on a number of occasions, to meet with pupils, staff and, in particular, Mr Boyjoonauth, the Prep School Leadership Team and me to ensure that there is a very smooth handover. We are also looking at hosting a couple of social gatherings next term for you, as parents, to have an opportunity to hear briefly from Mr O’Keeffe and to meet him in person.

In the meantime, we wish Mr Boyjoonauth all the very best for his final term and a bit at Farringtons. He has been an outstanding leader and when he hands over the reins to his successor, he will do so with the Prep School in excellent shape and in a great position to continue going from strength to strength.
